Well yes it is Sunday and we received a bunch of snow yesterday afternoon and last night . Must be about 6 inches or so, not a lot compared to what we usually or should I say used to get back in the old days but it is allot to compare to what we have been getting the last several years. It was 1996,97 when we had our last big snow year.

 

       Took the snow mobile down to the macanix shop a couple of weeks ago hoping to get it fixed. The snow in the mountains is gettting real deep and one can not get up any of the roads with the truck any more. Most of the game has come down out of the hills but a fellow has to get above  the herds to find any mountain lions. It's a virtual winter wonder land out there and that is my time of the year. Oh sure spring is excellant and summer is great and of course fall is my real favorite but winter is so much of a suvivel thing that one must respect it or die. Not allot of room for error if you know what I mean. One wrong move and a guy could be out there for a long long time. With any luck the mobile should be done soon and reliable. Kind of like when I was a kid and got my first 4 wheel drive. There was an old codger that told me Hell son thats not going to keep you from getting stuck, you are just going to get stuck further away from home. So was the truth. Had to walk a long ways a few times before I learned how not to get stuck or should I say learned how not to push the limit too far.
