Hey there by golly. hard to complain about too much sun this time of year. Was planting some of the garden yesterday, it was beutiful. planting the root crops of course, because of the phase the moon is in. In the dark of the moon one wants to plant the root stuff and in the light of the moon one wants to plant the above type things. those plants that bear there fruit above the earth. And in case every body doesn't know, the dark stage, called waning is when the moon is between full and the new moon and the light of the moon called waxing, is when it is getting bigger, from the new moon to the full moon stage.
The Sun was set to rule over the day and the moon to rule over the night and it has alott to do with a lot of things. When some thing has enough power to pull , in some places, 135 feet of water from one side of the earth to the other , it has a bunch of pull. And if we are made up of mostly water, it for sure has a pull on us. Noticed it a bunch when I was in the restaurant business. Those full moon night always brought some weird orders. Not exactly sure why the bible talks about a celebration of the new moon but probably because there is no moon and we should be in remembrance of it. Did you know that when the moon is full it is very hard to plant a fence post. one can not get it packed in there to hold solid. One always has too much dirt, of course to the average, one would think there should be too much dirt for when you dig a hole then put in a big post there should be extra dirt but when you install a post in the dark of the moon there is not enough dirt. It packs down tight and you have to look for more dirt to fill it up. Funny thing. How about cutting your hair, If you cut your hair in the waxing stage it will grow better and if you cut it in the waning it will not grow as much. If you are a hunter then you know the animals are out and about when the moon is. Going hunting the next day after a full moon night usually yields nothing because the animals were out the night before. Now there is more too it also, with the weather and all, but for sure if one pays attention to the moon then you will have better luck.
The big lesson this week is when you drop your glasses in the dog pin do not leave them there for when you come back they will be all chewed up and hard to see through. May God Bless you all Grampa Will
